Now the madness of the holiday season is over you may feel like hibernating over the weekend in recovery from the festivities. However there is loads going on this weekend if you feel like venturing out and about. Here’s our rundown of what’s happening!
Sugo
We’ve been fans of Paesano from the very start so when their sister pasta restaurant Sugo opened we could hardly contain ourselves. With a menu of dishes from various regions around Italy made freshly in their open kitchen allowing you a look into the art of their pasta making. We highly recommend the beef ragu it was absolutely gorgeous!
Jojo Rabbit
This World War 2 satire brings a good natured feel and comedic stance to the taboo subject of Nazi-ism under the Third Reich. Jojo Rabbit is portrayed from the perspective of a 10 year old Jojo with a slapstick version of Hitler as an imaginary friend who discovers his mother is hiding a Jewish girl in the attic. This Golden Globe nominated film is a must see this weekend.
Platform @ The Arches
As devastated as we were when the iconic Arches shut down, we are so happy it is being utilised as such a great venue. Bringing some of Scotland’s very best street food vendors which regularly change allowing you can try various cuisines and foods. Platform is the ideal place to head to on the weekends for a casual and relaxed lunch or dinner with friends and family.
