What seems like the longest month is nearly over and there’s one weekend before payday. If you’ve managed to save any money for the end of this month there’s plenty going on in Glasgow this weekend from new restaurant openings to calming CBD cocktails bars there is something for everyone!
Ka Pao
Following their highly successful pop up at SWG3’s Acid Bar South East Asian eatery Ka Pao opened their doors this week to their standalone restaurant in the Iconic Botanic Gardens garage on Vinicombe Street. From the team behind Ox and Finch it’s no surprise Ka Pao has already garnered some buzz. With a menu full of small dishes inspired by South East Asia such as salt and Szechuan pepper oyster mushrooms and messy prawns with tamarind and palm sugar. An exciting addition to the Glasgow food scene!
The Grow Room @ Tabac
Over the last year or so CBD (Cannabidiol) has become increasingly popular due to its pain relieving and calming benefits. While it may not have the psychoactive effects as the plant it is extracted, Tabac has identified a way to bring CBD to Glasgow in the form of a cocktail bar replacing the former Panther Milk bar. Opening this weekend head along for cocktails unlike anything else you’ll find in Glasgow!
Melting Pot @ Radisson Red Sky Bar
Brining the latest of their Disco Party’s to the Radisson Red Rooftop, Melting Pot are back for a can’t be missed party. Dance the night away while looking onto some of Glasgow’s famous landmarks of the Clyde and the Finneston Crane. Brining their famous mix of Disco, house, techno, soul and funk that they are known for, Melting Pot is always a night to remember!
Safe Hands Barbers
Offering not just haircuts but top class banter our pals at Safe Hands are the best in the city. We here at Forty don’t trust anyone else with our Barnet’s. We’ve always had a close association with the lads at Safe Hands from the days where we shared a space in our store at Royal Exchange Square, now they are based on Miller St and Parnie Street. Make an appointment or walk in and get a top class haircut and a good old laugh from our favourite Barbers.
