Who the F**K is Wes Anderson?
For our Spring Summer 20 collection we have taken inspiration from the great cinematographer Wes Anderson, here we go greater into detail about who Wes Anderson is and what it is about his work that is so inspirational.
Known for his cult films The Royal Tenenbaums, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Moonrise Kingdom and Isle of Dogs, Wes Anderson is famed for his unique use of humorous narrative and visual styles.
As a screenwriter, director and producer, Anderson brings his detailed approach to every frame from the character outfits to props, to the body language. The stories Anderson creates are inspired greatly by his childhood and told from his 12 year old selfs perspective.
Wes Anderson films are known for their stellar casts with famed actors such as Bill Murray, Tilda Swinton, Owen Wilson and Anjelica Houston regularly featuring due to their close relationships with the director.
For Spring Summer 20 we took great inspiration from the colour palettes which Anderson features in his films which he is famed for. Named after the main character from Isle of dogs the Atari t-shirt took inspiration from the colour palette used for Isle of dogs of Mint, Lemon and Coral which are key colours used throughout the cinematography.
