
January is a month where we look to plan out our year, whether it’s summer holidays, city breaks or those big tasty Music Festivals. Here at FORTY HQ, our team is busy planning our Summer itenary and we’ve decided to share with you our top festival picks (PS Fyre festival is not on this list).
AMP Lost & Found Festival, Malta (2nd-5th May)

Fly Open Air, 18th-19th May, Edinburgh
FLY presents FLY Open Air. Showcasing the planet’s top electronic live acts & DJs in a truly unique locations in Edinburgh. Believe us, this is not one to miss!
Parklife 8th-9th June, Manchester
Parklife Festival is a multi-genre music festival in Manchester, England. Fresh off its biggest edition to date, the festival is firmly cemented as one of the UK’s favourite. Line up announced 6pm this Wednesday (30th January 2019).
Awakenings, 29th-30th June, Amsterdam
You will find Techno pioneers such as Carl Cox, Adam Beyer, Nina Kraviz, Loco Dice, Ben Klock, Len Faki, Jamie Jones, Joris Voorn, and Sven Väth playing records alongside a plethora of more recent talent. During the 2-day festival, there are more than 100 techno DJ’s playing their best sounds for one of the most dedicated crowds.
Hideout Festival, 1st-5th July, Croatia
Croatia has in recent years become one of the hottest destinations in the world for the clubbing community to go and let loose and many of Europe’s most committed dance fans now head there year after year in favour of the traditional summer destinations. Hideout Festival is perched on one of finest beaches in the area that runs the entire length of the island and is surrounded by a variety of bars, restaurants, water sports and attractions.
Ultra Europe, 12th-14th July, Croatia
Taking place each July on Croatia’s beautiful Dalmatian coastline ever since, the festival has attracted some of the biggest DJs and live acts in the world including Above & Beyond, Afrojack, Armin van Buuren, Alesso, Avicii, Carl Cox, Chase & Status, David Guetta, Dillon Francis, Diplo, Disclosure, Erick Morillo, Example, Fedde Le Grand, Hardwell, Jamie Jones, Knife Party, Krewella, Laidback Luke, Luciano, Marco Carola, Martin Garrix, Nicky Romero, Nic Fanciulli, Paul van Dyk, Porter Robinson, Pretty Lights, Sebastian Ingrosso, Steve Aoki, Tiesto and W&W to name just a few.
Cocoon In The Park, 13th July, Leeds
10 years ago the idea of a dance out in the country was turned from an idea into one of the most individual and special events on the entire dance music calendar. One day, one night and one stage situated in the gorgeous grounds of Temple Newsam House just minutes from Leeds but in the heart of the Yorkshire countryside. Cocoon in the Park is an essential UK festival.
Sonar, 18th-20th July, Barcelona
The stunning city of Barcelona plays host to one of the biggest celebrations of electronic music on the planet, Sónar Festival. Previous headliners have been LCD Soundsystem, Aphex Twin, Magnetic Man, Dizzee Rascal, Chemical Brothers, Animal Collective, Claude VonStroke, and many many others.
Creamfields, 22nd-25th August, Cheshire
Creamfields is undeniably one of the world’s biggest, most impressive music festivals. The first dance festival to set out to provide the clubbing experience in a large outdoor arena, and which has since gone on to become the most renowned and popular open air electronic music festival in the world. This years festival will see the much anticipated return of Swedish House Mafia!
